SMSID does not permit unsolicited bulk or commercial messaging ("spam"). You may only send messages to recipients who have given valid, demonstrable consent to receive them, or where another lawful basis clearly applies.
Before messaging a recipient you must hold a record of their opt-in: when, how and for what purpose consent was given. Consent must be freely given and specific; pre-ticked boxes and purchased or scraped lists are not acceptable.
Every marketing message must offer a clear and free way to opt out (for example "Reply STOP"). You must honour opt-out requests promptly and must not message recipients who have unsubscribed.
Messages must clearly identify the sender. You must not conceal or falsify your identity or the message origin, and must not use misleading Sender IDs.
You must comply with applicable marketing and privacy laws, including the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, and equivalent rules in the recipient's jurisdiction.
We monitor for spam signals such as high failure rates, complaint spikes and abnormal sending patterns. Suspected spam may trigger immediate throttling or suspension. Confirmed violations may lead to termination without refund of remaining balance and, where appropriate, reporting to regulators and carriers.
If you have received spam sent through our platform, please report it via our contact page so we can investigate.
