Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the SMSID platform. It applies to all customers and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

2. Prohibited content

You must not use the service to send messages that are unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that promote violence, hate, or discrimination.

3. Prohibited activities

• Sending messages without the recipient's lawful consent (see our Anti-Spam Policy).
• Phishing, smishing, identity theft, or impersonating any person or organisation.
• Distributing malware or links to malicious sites.
• Promoting illegal goods or services, or content restricted by mobile operators (e.g. unlawful gambling, illicit substances).
• Sending one-time passwords or alerts on behalf of services you do not operate or are not authorised to represent.
• Circumventing rate limits, filtering, or security controls.

4. Sender identity

You must use only Sender IDs you are entitled to use, and must not disguise or falsify the origin of messages.

5. Compliance with law

You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to your messaging, including in the recipient's country, and with mobile operator rules and industry codes of practice.

6. Monitoring & enforcement

We may monitor traffic patterns for abuse and investigate suspected violations. Breach of this AUP may result in throttling, suspension, or termination, and where required, reporting to authorities.
